A simple Shopify flow — onboard, collect, send
ElkSend stays inside your admin: you add your seller identity once, invoices draft automatically, and you send via Peppol with one click — or auto-send.
Install from the Shopify App Store and start with 10 included sends.
Enter company name, business ID, VAT ID, and address — required for compliant e-invoices.
Install the extension for Thank You / Order Status — or edit buyer info from your dashboard.
When required fields are present, the invoice is ready. Click Send — or enable auto-send.
Buyers can enter the identifiers needed for e-invoicing. When they do, ElkSend drafts the invoice automatically.
Prefer to do it yourself? Enter or correct buyer details from the dashboard at any time.
Peppol delivery is the primary path — exports are available if you need them.
Turn it on in Settings and invoices send immediately when all required fields are present.
After included sends are used, ongoing Peppol sending is unlocked via subscription — drafts and exports remain available.

Frequently asked questions
Answers to common questions about sending Peppol e-invoices through ElkSend.
What is Peppol, and when do I need to send Peppol e-invoices?
Peppol is a shared e-invoicing framework: it defines common rules and document specifications, and it uses a network of certified service providers (Access Points) to securely deliver structured invoices between businesses. You typically need to send Peppol e-invoices when a B2B customer asks for it and provides their Peppol ID/endpoint, so the invoice can be received directly into their finance system in a standard format. In some countries it’s legally required in certain cases, for example, Belgium (public sector and B2B) and Denmark (public sector).
Which countries are supported by ElkSend?
ElkSend can send invoices to any business registered on the Peppol network. The Shopify app is currently available only for stores registered in: Belgium, Germany, Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Estonia, Latvia.
Which Shopify plans/stores is ElkSend compatible with?
ElkSend is compatible with all standard Shopify plans that use Shopify Checkout — including Basic, Shopify, Advanced, and Plus. It also supports Shopify POS orders, with buyer details entered manually.
What can I export or download?
ElkSend lets you export invoices as XML (UBL BIS 3.0) for e-invoicing. If needed, you can also download a PDF copy.
What is an endpoint scheme in Peppol?
The endpoint scheme is the 4-digit “type code” in a Peppol ID. It determines which identifier is used to route the invoice to the recipient.
For example:
- 0208 = Belgian enterprise number (KBO/CBE)
- 9925 = Belgian VAT number
When in doubt, ask your e-invoicing provider for the exact Peppol ID to use.
How does ElkSend integrate in Shopify?
ElkSend integrates with Shopify in two ways:
- Shopify Admin (embedded app): Set up your business/Peppol details, manage e-invoice settings and sending rules, view invoices, track send status, and download XML copies.
- Post-checkout pages: A storefront extension on the Thank you and Order status pages that collects buyer company details and Peppol IDs after the purchase.
